What to do first
Start with one small goal. Heartopia opens several cozy systems quickly, so beginners can waste time trying to do everything at once. Your first session should help you understand the town, collect useful items, try one hobby, learn where notices appear, and return home with a clear next step.
Beginner route
- Check notices, events, and redeem codes before starting your route.
- Visit central town areas and talk to key residents.
- Collect common materials while saving rare, event, pet, and crafting items.
- Try one hobby loop: fishing, gardening, bug catching, birdwatching, or cooking.
- Check the market before spending coins so you understand upgrade costs.
- Return home, store items, and decorate only one small corner.
When to focus on pets
Pets become important once you approach the D.G. Level 12/Mrs. Joan unlock path. Do not panic if you cannot adopt immediately. Keep pet-related items, talk to Mrs. Joan when available, and check the daily pet rotation after the system opens.
When to focus on money
Early money should come from repeatable routines, not risky selling. Gather common items, do one hobby loop, and sell duplicates only after checking whether the item is needed for crafting, recipes, pets, flowers, gifts, or events.
What to save
Keep rare materials, decor tokens, pet items, gifts, event items, unfamiliar ingredients, and flower seeds until you know what they are used for. This avoids wasting items that may be needed for crafting, friendship, cooking, events, or home upgrades.
